Nancy Kerrigan's brother charged with manslaughter

World famous figure skater, Mark Kerrigan, 45 year old brother of Nancy Kerrigan, has been indicted by a Middlesex Superior Court grand jury for the January 24th, 2010 death of their father Daniel Kerrigan.,

Mark is being charged with manslaughter in the death of their 70-year-old father in what prosecutors called a drunken rage during a trivial argument over use of the family telephone.

Daniel Kerrigan’s death was caused by “cardiac dysrhythmia,” a condition brought on by an interruption or loss of a regular heartbeat that can lead to a heart attack / cardiac arrest.
Findings noted the elder Kerrigan’s neck compression and damage to his windpipe, allegedly at the hands of his son Mark. Daniel Kerrigan also suffered from high blood pressure and clogged arteries. The Kerrigan family maintains these pre-existing conditions caused Daniel’s death, not Mark Kerrigan.

While Mark Kerrigan is innocent until proven otherwise, how does Nancy Kerrigan or any family member overlook the fact that an argument and physical fight did occur on that fateful evening, and their beloved father / husband died as a result of that fight?
