Actor Nicolas Cage loses L.A. mansion to lender

Financial trouble has been running with a great pace in Nicolas Cage's life. Finally Oscar winner Nicolas Cage has lost one of his personal treasures. He has lost 11,817 square-foot (0.27 acre) mansion in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Bel-Air failed to get any bids at its $10.4 million asking price this week, and ownership reverted to a foreclosing lender. Cage originally tried to sell the property for $35 million.

Cage, the star of the "National Treasure" action franchise, filed a $20 million lawsuit in October against his former business manager, accusing him of harming his personal finances.

Cage a year ago sold his castle in Germany and told a magazine in that country that tough economic times forced him to make the sale.

Cage won an Oscar for his role as an alcoholic with a death wish in the 1995 drama "Leaving Las Vegas." The actor has also starred in "Ghost Rider," "World Trade Center" and "Adaptation."

Scandals and rumours are running continuously in Sandra Bullock's life. She has finally broken her silence since news of Jesse James' alleged affairs made headlines - denying the existence of a purported sex tape with her estranged husband.

"There is no sex tape," she told People.com. "There never has been one and there never will be one."

According to a source who watched one of the videos, a naked woman is seen on her knees with her hands bound, while James is wearing a Nazi hat and waving his arm in a salute.

James, 40, checked himself into the Arizona facility on March 26 "to deal with personal issues" in the hope of saving his five-year marriage to the Oscar-winning actress, his rep said in a statement.

Though none of the alleged sex tapes are up for sale, they are reportedly not kept in a secured location.

"They could end up being made public just like the photo of Jesse giving the Nazi salute," the source said. "There's no doubt some of these tapes could leak and end up on the Internet."

According to his attorney Joe Yanny, James is hoping that rehab and some privacy will help him recover and mend his relationship with Bullock.

"This whole thing has destroyed Jesse's entire universe," Yanny told The Associated Press. "Right now, he's a broken man."

"Jesse is in love with Sandra. The single most important thing to Mr. James and the children is that the marriage somehow survive."
