Axl Rose Claims Guns N’ Roses Was ‘Sabotaged’

Axl Rose says that music executive Irving Azoff was behind a large plot to destroy Guns N' Roses. Rose filed a countersuit today against Azoff, who used to be his manager, stating that Azoff tried to force him into a reunion tour with the original Guns N' Roses. According to the suit, Azoff went out of his way to screw Rose after Rose nixed the reunion idea.

Rose claims Azoff tried "devising and implementing a secret plan to set up Rose and the band for failure so that Rose would have no choice but to reunite with the original Guns N' Roses' members."

Rose points to the fact that Azoff used Rose's childhood name in his lawsuit, stating that his childhood name carries "heavy emotional baggage" for him. According to the countersuit, the name William Bailey "carries significant emotional damage from Rose's childhood" and that Azoff knew it because of numerous personal and confidential conversations. 

Rose wants $5 million for damages.
