Alex O'Loughlin Heats Up Big Screen With Jennifer Lopez

Aussie hunk, Alex O'Loughlin, and Jennifer Lopez, both are star in some steamy scenes in the new movie, "The Back-Up Plan." In the film, Jennifer Lopez plays Zoe, Mistress of the Universe-turned-New York City pet shop owner.

Zoe owns a cute crippled doggie named Nuts. Zoe also has two quirky employees Eric Christian Olsen and Noureen DeWulf and an adorably harsh best friend named Mona, a delightful Michaela Watkins, who claims to hate her own four kids. Still, Zoe, a 30-something singleton, has decided to start her own family via insemination. Trouble is, I have to imagine venerable comic actor Robert Klein, who plays Zoe's gynecologist, with his gloved hands all up in her business.

"The Back-up Plan," which I have begun to call "The Back That Thing Up Plan," was directed by TV veteran Alan Poul and written by Kate Angelo and is marginally better than "She's Out of My League" and "The Bounty Hunter." If you don't like it, or its multiple poop jokes, wait and sample the upcoming "Letters to Juliet," Amanda Seyfried's -- what? -- 12th film this year.

Still, near the end of the seemingly endless film, Zoe and Stan -- and by association we -- are forced to watch a hippie single mother give birth in a wading pool. "I never want to see that again," says Stan afterward.
